A very Merry Christmas in Prescott, Arizona!!

Play, Stay and Dine Travel are constantly looking for special places to spend the Holidays~~ this year we chose the old west, historical town of Prescott, Arizona, which combines modern and historical.

Just a short drive from the Phoenix Sky Harbor airport,makes this unique, historical town easy to access. Or maybe a 7-8 hour drive from Los Angeles. This area is becoming quite popular!  With the surrounding areas, including Prescott Valley, there’s a population close to 150,000.I ask myself, as I’m driving through the historical part of town, what catches my eye as far as lodging? For me, it was the SpringHill Suites Marriott. I must say, I did do my homework before arriving in town and I couldn’t ignore all of the positive remarks on the internet about the SpringHill Suites Marriott. The grounds were kept and beautiful. I pulled up to the valet style hotel entrance, although you park for free.  While checking in, I was treated like a King!The staff was polite and genuinely concerned about any needs I had. I was kindly informed that there was a ‘buffet style’ breakfast in the morning from 6-9a.m. which had scrambled eggs, canadian bacon, oatmeal, full cereal bar, bagels, a variety of muffins, fresh fruit; a lot more than the typical continental style breakfast at most lodging facilities. My room was a lovely suite, quaintly designed. Starting with a full sink in the kitchen area; refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker. Across from the kitchen, was a desk and work area, where I had access to free WiFi, which was perfect for me to catch up on some articles and stories. Around the corner, was a living room area with a sleeper sofa. All in all, the room was wonderful.

After unpacking, I made my way down to the beautiful, spacious indoor spa and pool . It was clean with freshly stacked towels. For those of you who enjoy a good workout, SpringHill Suites has a very nice gym.

SpringHill Suites Marriott is in a perfect location to the downtown area of Prescott and major highways. During the holidays which starts during the Thanksgiving holiday through New Year’s, some of the festivities are:
