BOA VISTA ORCHARDS is located in Camino, Ca. a few miles east of Placerville! It is 100 plus years strong, starting back to the 1900’s when Carl Visman Sr., a first generation BOA Vista family farmer, started farming the land. Now, five generations later, family members are involved in various roles and capacities. During the Covid years, BOA Vista was open for customers to purchase grocery items; vegetables, meats, pies, jams, housewares, etc as they were considered a grocery store as well as an orchard.

Today, thousands of visitors flock to BOA VISTA ORCHARDS for their Special Events held in the Spring, Summer, Fall and Winter. We came on the first day of PEACH DAYS, July 24- August 3, 7:30a.m. to 6:00p.m. daily. I had no idea, how many items you can make with peaches!!! Try their peach pie; it’s the BEST! We met with Andrew, one of the Managers, who is a very gracious person and accommodating I had lots of questions. Immediately I became interested in tasting everything in the store, like a kid in a candy shop. Andrew kindly said, “Let’s get you tasting.” He brought over a flight or tasting of peach sangria, peach hard cider, blackberry hard cider, pomegranate hard cider, IPA, apple hard cider and apple beer, so as you can imagine, my day got even better from here on out!!! The peach sangria and hard cider are delicious and noteworthy!! Then, for our next tasting we headed over to the ‘Sample booth’ where awesome Jasmine, provided samples of the delicious peach preserve sweetened with juice, honey habanero BBQ sauce and peach fudge to name a few. The traditional apple cider was available for sample also. Then, last but not least, Andrew suggested we try the brisket of beef sandwich. Chris operates the cooking station where he absolutely barbecued the brisket of beef to perfection!! It had an outstanding flavor and tender texture. The added plus is then, trying some of the BBQ sauce samples and dripping them over the meat!! My entire mouth watering senses were in full gear. You can also purchase hamburgers or hot dogs.

You’ll want to spend some quality time at BOA Vista with the family and friends. During the event, train rides, Vendors and Face painting are available July 25-27 & August 1-3 from 9AM to 5PM. Glitter Tattoos are available July 26-27 & August 2-3. Free parking and admission.

One of the things we experienced while visiting is that it gets extremely crowded and the lines can get quite long. It’s best to get in, find your treasures and food and take them to the outdoor seating towards the front and rear of the store or across the street under the shady trees next to the orchard and enjoy your food and drink! This helps keeps the flow of people moving, which I’m sure they appreciate. The staff who we encountered are outstanding and polite.
