Hotel Del Coronado, San Diego, CA

The Hotel del Coronado, also known as The Del and Hotel Del, is a historic, beautiful and spacious beachfront hotel in Coronado, California, just across San Diego Bay from San Diego. A rare surviving example of an American architectural genre—the wooden Victorian beach resort—it was designated a California Historical Landmark in 1970 and a National Historic Landmark in 1977. It is the second-largest wooden structure in the United States. When the hotel opened in 1888, it was the largest resort hotel in the world. It has hosted presidents, royalty, and celebrities, and been featured in numerous films and books.
The Victorian original beachfront building built in 1988 is going through a massive renovation to be completed in June 2025. We are excited to experience its elegant beauty in the near future.
The Hotel Del Coronado has been a family destination for many from the Southern California area. It has an impeccable reputation from the Staff to the food and access to the beach right at your fingertips.
