Since 1974, Lanza’s has been a well known name among the locals and visitor’s to Lake Tahoe and the surrounding areas! In fact, a relative of mine, had a cabin on the Brockway Golf Course which is within minutes of Lanza’s and we enjoyed numerous meals with family at Lanza’s as it’s always been a family tradition. Lanza’s in Kings Beach is conveniently located near your travel destination whether it be Tahoe City, Carnelian Bay, Truckee, or on your way to South Lake Tahoe. Stop in for the BEST italian meal ever!!
Over 600 people attended the ‘50th’ celebration in June 2024. Live music, great food and fun was enjoyed by all!!
We met with Justin Garcia, General Manager of Lanza’s who takes great pride in the restaurant and has spent 25 years with the family. He started working at Lanza’s as a young man. Mama Lanza created all of the recipe’s. After all these years, you still feel like you’re going to Grandma’s house when visiting Lanza’s. There is a wonderful family atmosphere and joy as you dine.
My photographer and myself experienced ( as seen in the pictures) the ‘Calamari Steak’ was lightly breaded in Olive oil (delicious!)accompanied with artichoke hearts over the steak, fresh mixed vegetables, and the best side salad with bleu cheese drizzled on top. Then, Wow– a favorite of mine- ‘Lanza’s Sampler’, Two Meat-Filled Lumaconi Shells and Two Ricotta-Stuffed Cheese Shells on Penne Pasta with Your Choice of Meat or Marinara Sauce, Baked with a Mozzarella Cheese Crust. I had a cup of the ‘ minnestrone’ soup; fresh tasting vegetables with a soup base that is so tasty! Try the ‘Alfredo Classic cream pasta’ – it literally melts in your mouth as you savor the amazing cream sauce. The entree’s were a huge portion and super delicious!! You may definitely have left-overs!!
‘Happy Hour’ at Lanza’s is Sunday through Thursday, 4:30p.m- 6:00p.m. in the bar area. Great drinks and appetizer’s. I sampled ‘chicken wings’….so good and huge!! Even got to watch the Chief’s play the Raven’s kick off game!!
