Luxury, Lox, and the Luck of the Cards: Our Family Getaway to the Encore Las Vegas

There’s nothing like a family trip to Las Vegas—especially when it includes a stay at one of the city’s most elegant resorts. My family and I recently spent a few unforgettable days at the Encore Hotel and Casino, and let me just say: it exceeded every expectation.

From the moment we arrived, we were wrapped in luxury. The service was impeccable, the atmosphere was glamorous, and every corner of the hotel felt like a carefully crafted escape from the everyday. Whether you’re in town to unwind, indulge, or play a few hands of poker (more on that later!), Encore delivers.

Breakfast in Bed, Vegas Style

Let’s talk about the room service. Breakfast at Encore is an experience all its own—and absolutely worth the splurge. We highly recommend the lobster benedict, which was rich, buttery, and perfectly poached, as well as the salmon lox toast on artisan bread, which was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully plated. Nothing says vacation like sipping coffee in a plush robe while enjoying gourmet bites with a view of the Strip.

Smart Rooms = Stress-Free Stay

One of the little luxuries we loved most was how high-tech and convenient the room was. Alexa and an in-room iPad gave us full control of everything—from dimming the lights and adjusting the curtains, to turning on the TV or syncing our phone’s music via Bluetooth. It made relaxing effortless. With just a few voice commands or taps, the room adapted to our vibe. Vegas may never sleep, but thanks to Encore’s smart rooms, we slept like royalty.

Relaxation Mode: Activated

The Encore pool area was a slice of paradise. We soaked in the sun, dipped in the water, and truly let go of stress. But the real highlight? The Desert Stone Hot Rock Massage at the Encore Spa—hands down one of the best massages we’ve ever had. My mom also got her hair styled during our stay, and the salon team made her feel completely pampered. She left glowing—inside and out.

All-In at the WSOP

Of course, no trip to Vegas would be complete for me without a little poker action. I played in the first event of the World Series of Poker (WSOP): the Mystery Millions No-Limit Hold’em Tournament. The energy was electric, the field was huge, and the action continues all the way through July. For poker lovers, it’s a bucket-list experience—and one I’m so grateful to be part of once again.
