E-Bike Tahoe – Tahoe region

Article by Joseph Chandler, Chief Journalist- IPA Magazine Travel

I was in North Lake Tahoe on assignment, near Truckee. I called E-Bike Tahoe and they were so accommodating and great to work with.

One of my favorite things to do is to ride an E-bike as you can get around so many different areas and climb hills with the pedal assist, that you normally can’t do on a regular bike.

E-Bike Tahoe has rentals in Tahoe City and Truckee. I was staying at the Pepper Tree Inn in Tahoe City. Also, I wanted to ride the Truckee river trail (a very easy trail) as it’s full of beauty with the gorgeous trees and colorful water. You can ride 10 miles or up to 30 miles to Meeks Bay. The atmosphere is electric with people in their rafts floating down the river, having fun, laughing, waving hello. You’ll see cute wildlife too. It was so refreshing and everyone was relaxed and friendly. A lot different from the city life that we’ve all experienced. It was the first week in June. I was told since the river was so low, it’s actually warm enough if you fell out of the raft. I will remember that for next year and bring my tube!!

E-Bike Tahoe has 4 different trails to choose from: Tahoe West Shore Trail, Tahoe North Shore Trail, Truckee River Trail, Kings Beach Out and Back.
