THE JAMES DEAN FESTIVAL September 25th – 27th, 2026

If you want to participate in a rare event with over 30,000 visitors a day with fans from all over the world…this is it. With too much to list here but available in the attached website listing all the events like the….“James Dean look-a-like-contest,” a hometown parade, live music, thousands of custom cars from over thirty states, a giant food fare on main street, and a visit to the James Dean Museum is just a small part of the celebration. 

The three day event is located in a small town where Jimmy spent most of his childhood; Fairmount, Indiana. Located about a ninety minute drive northeast of Indianapolis, Indiana. 

As a writer for IPA TRAVEL and the author of the only motion picture screenplay approved by his living family, here is a brief synopsis of his real life story…I say real, because I was the only Hollywood writer to read his personal diary that was lost for over 50 years, and the truth of who he was and what he wanted in life has been hidden for decades….
